Il nuovo interruttore di sentina che risolve lannoso problema dellacqua in sentina Il funzionamento di SENTINEL è semplicissimo: quando è alimentato si posiziona in standby. Nel momento in cui il livello dellacqua arriva ai sensori e li bagna contemporaneamente per almeno 30 secondi SENTINEL attiva la pompa che verrà disattivata automaticamente dopo 15 secondi dal momento che uno dei due sensori non è più raggiunto dallacqua. I due sensori a contatto con lacqua sono totalmente isolati, così da evitare qualsiasi processo di ossidazione o correnti galvaniche. Il corpo in alluminio dellinterruttore è anchesso isolato elettricamente. Non ha particolari problemi di posizionamento: la sua forma circolare col fissaggio ad una sola vite centrale permette lorientamento dello strumento verso la direzione di arrivo dei cavi (o comunque quella che rende più facile linstallazione), grazie anche ai suoi tre spessori posteriori. Sul frontale dellinterruttore sono presenti tre punti di connessione rappresentati da boccole in ottone filettate internamente + (polo positivo), (polo negativo) e P (polo positivo della pompa). I sensori sono costituiti da due piastrine di acciaio inox AISI 316. Questa semplicissima forma dà la possibilità di adattare i sensori a qualsiasi tipo di installazione. Possono essere fissate tramite fascette di plastica oppure praticandovi un foro si possono fissare tramite una vite o incollate con del silicone. I vincoli da tenere in considerazione sono: la distanza tra i sensori non deve superare i 30cm e la lunghezza dei cavi dallinterruttore ai sensori non deve superare i 15mt. The new bilge switch that solves the age-old problem of water in the bilge The operation of SENTINEL is very simple: when it is powered it goes into standby mode. The moment the water level reaches the sensors and wets them simultaneously for at least 30 seconds SENTINEL activates the pump, which will be turned off automatically after 15 seconds from the moment one of the two sensors is no longer reached by water. The two sensors in contact with water are totally isolated so as to avoid any oxidation process or galvanic currents. The aluminum body of the switch is also electrically insulated. It has no particular problems with positioning: its circular shape with its attachment to a single central screw allows the orientation of the instrument toward the direction of arrival of the cables (or at any rate the one that makes installation easier), thanks also to its three rear shims. On the front of the switch are three connection points represented by internally threaded brass bushings + (positive pole), – (negative pole) and P (positive pump pole). The sensors consist of two AISI 316 stainless steel plates. This very simple shape gives the possibility to adapt the sensors to any type of installation. They can be fixed by plastic ties or by drilling a hole in them, they can be attached by a screw or glued with silicone. The constraints to be taken into consideration are: the distance between the sensors should not exceed 30cm and the length of the cables from the switch to the sensors should not exceed 15mt.
